Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and JustBeckon LLC ("we", "us") for use of the Beckon app. By using Beckon you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.

Who can use Beckon
You must be 13 or older, and you sign in with Apple, an email address, or a passkey. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Content and conduct: zero tolerance
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive behaviour towards other users. Beckon lets you write a message and a location on a beckon, and a name and bio on your profile. That content is yours and you are responsible for it.
You may not use Beckon to harass, threaten, bully, stalk or impersonate anyone; to post sexually explicit, hateful, violent or illegal content; to spam; or to send anything you have no right to send. Accounts that do are removed.
Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it
- Report. Every user can be reported from their profile, and from an incoming request before you have accepted it. Reporting someone also blocks them immediately. You do not have to do it twice.
- Block. You can block anyone, at any time, without reporting them. A blocked person cannot see your beckons, cannot reach you, and is not told.
- What we do. We review reports and aim to act within 24 hours. We may remove content, suspend an account, or remove it entirely. We do not need to warn anyone first, and we do not have to explain a removal to the person removed.
If something in Beckon is being used to hurt you, report it, and write to [email protected]. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services. We are an app, and we cannot help with that.
Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you write. You give us only the permission we need to run the app: to store your content and show it to the friends you have chosen to show it to. Nothing here lets us sell it, publish it, or use it to advertise.
What Beckon is not
Beckon tells your friends you are free. It is not a safety service, an emergency service, or a way to verify who anyone is. Anyone can type anything into a beckon. Use the same judgement you would with a text message.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, and this agreement ends with it. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is deleted and the two things (safety reports, and any moderation record) that are retained. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.
No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you
Beckon is provided "as is". We do not promise it will always be available, always deliver a notification, or always be free of bugs. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will say so in the app. Continuing to use Beckon after a change means you accept it.
